Elizabeth Marland, Owner and Registered Manger
Liz is the Owner and Registered Manager of EAM House and EAM Homecare Ltd. She is also the Responsible Individual at EAM House, EAM Lodge, Manchester and EAM Lodge, Trafford ; the latter is otherwise known as “Number 46”. In 2011, She was the Overall Business Woman of the Year sponsored by Network She Awards.
Being the owner means that the care the children/young people receive is of the highest quality as she insists on certain standards. Since studying nursing in 1981, Liz gained extensive nursing experience with children, this includes working at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Booth Hall and more recently at Francis House Children’s Hospice, which taught her a great deal about caring for children with complex health needs.
Liz then managed a Children’s Community Nursing Team, and had a caseload of children with whom she visited. Most recently Liz has been employed as a Senior Lecturer in Children’s Community Nursing at Manchester University and has gained a wealth of knowledge and hands on experience of children with complex health needs. As the Owner Liz oversees the running of the home and the care that the children receive.
Liz is also available on an on-call basis to provide support to the staff and families. Her aim is that the children we provide care for have the best possible care and social care and that she is always available to meet with the family.
